Facilitate Yoga Nidra Experiences for Others
Part 1 of the Yoga Nidra Professional Training is intended to help you understand yoga nidra as a meditative practice.
You will understand:
- How yoga nidra works from a spiritual perspective, from a healing perspective, and from the point of view of stress.
- Discover the components that make up a powerful Amrit Method yoga nidra experience and learn how and why they work.
- Receive guidance to formulate your intention for your life—a device to help you disengage from self-imposed limitations and live from your expanded Self.
- Receive a home study packet and CD’s for personal practice and practice teaching during the break between part I and II.
Note: This portion of the training may also be taken as a personal intensive.
Part 2 of the Yoga Nidra Professional Training is oriented to using the understanding you received in the first part of the training to three primary areas of application: spiritual practice, healing and stress reduction. You will:
- Be coached to effectively deliver three different yoga nidra experiences for three different segments of the population
- Receive a six-week lesson plan for leading a yoga nidra class
- Receive outlines and instruction on leading a mini yoga nidra workshop, lecture demonstration and one-on-one session
- Learn how to help others develop an intention
- Learn how to communicate the benefits of yoga nidra to people of varying needs and walks of life
- Explore marketing opportunities and ideas
Note: Part A and B of Yoga Nidra Professional Training are required for Certification.
Required Pre-requisites:
Before participating in the Yoga Nidra Professional Training (Part A and B – 12 days), you need to have taken ONE of the following:
- Amrit Yoga Teacher Training or Other Advanced Sadhana Programs
- Yoga Nidra intensive
- Weekend Yoga Nidra workshop with Gurudev or Senior Staff
- Able to demonstrate that you have studied Yoga Nidra in-depth from another tradition

Continuing Education Credits:
Participants receive full certification from the Amrit Yoga Institute as a Level I teacher of this technique; Continuing Education Credits are available for mental health and other professionals.
The Amrit Yoga Institute is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) and may offer NBCC approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP solely is responsible for all aspects of the program.
